We were at it early this morning, preparing the scaffolding to be used while back-filling and tuck pointing our stone work. There are plenty of areas where the mortar has eroded, placing the stone work in jeopardy.
At our September 10th Stated Communication we were honored to receive many visiting guests, especially those who traveled West all the way from Illinois! The visiting brothers introduced us to the Illinois work. It was amazing to see how regimented and precise they are. There are definitely differences in the work and it was interesting to compare those differences as well as the similarities.
Thank you Brothers for your visit and the great evening of fellowship!
It was an honor and a pleasure for members of Nevada #4 (and others), to be present as Grand Lodge Offices R.W.Bro. Greg Harris presented W. Bro Roger Friesen with his 50 year award. It was presented at his home in Gypsum, CO. with his wonderful family in attendance.
Nevada Lodge #4 is setup as a recipient of the The King Soopers Community Rewards program. This program gives us a portion of charitable contributions based on money spent at King Soopers when you use your card or phone number. The only catch is that you must first link your rewards card or phone number with our organization, but it's only a 3-step process and takes less than 5 minutes.
To accommodate the large number of brothers who have expressed interest in the Oklahoma Indian Degree taking place at the Consistory on Saturday, October 9th, we will not be holding our regular Stated Communication on that day!

A great time was had by all at this year's Nevada Lodge #4 Pancake Breakfast! Funds from this event will be used primarily for kitchen upgrades and possibly roof repair.
Many thanks to the DeMolay boys from the Arvada, Broomfield and Colorado Springs chapters for their excellent work taking orders, serving and cleanup!
Brethren, we will be having an in-person meeting in Nevadaville for this month. The meeting will be confined to pertinent business and a bit of education. The building is still winterized due to the pandemic, so there is no running water (plan accordingly). There will be no dinner. Masks will be required at all times and hand sanitizer will be available. If you are ill or feel at risk, please stay home. Please RSVP to the Secretary if you plan on attending in order to best prepare for the number of attendees and how to space them out in the lodge room.
There is a petition underway to collect the 3000 signatures required to bring back the "Colorado Masonic Family" license plates which were discontinued in 2007. If you are interested, please visit this page to add your name to the list.
